Giraffes

Giraffes are the tallest land animals on Earth, with adults reaching heights of 14 to 18 feet thanks to their remarkably long necks and legs. Native to the savannas, grasslands, and open woodlands of Africa, they spend most of their day browsing on leaves, especially from acacia trees, using their long, dark tongues (up to 20 inches) to pull foliage from thorny branches. Each giraffe has a unique coat pattern of brown patches, much like a fingerprint, and despite their size they can run up to 35 miles per hour over short distances. Giraffes are social animals that live in loose groups called towers, and they sleep only a few hours a day, often in short naps while standing.
